This month, i joined the Blogging Marathon group and i chose to cook under "Weekend special dinner". This Cabbage paratha is one of the dishes i usually cook on weekend, it takes very less time(no need to spend lot of time in the kitchen for weekend) and it doesnt need any side dish. It goes well with curd & pickle.
If you love parathas & cabbage, give it a try, you wont get disappointed. ok. let see the procedure now.

Ingredients
Wheat flour - 2 cup
Grated Cabbage - 1 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chili powder - 1/2 tsp(adjust to taste)
Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Water
Salt -to taste
Coriander leaves - few
Oil/Butter - to toast the paratha

Procedure
Grate the cabbage & collect it in the bowl, add the spices(turmeric, chili & garam masala powder) & salt. Mix it well & keep it aside for 5 mins, it will help to leave the water from the cabbage.

After 5 mins, add the flour, coriander leaves & water and make the dough. Be careful in adding water, it doesnt require much.Place it in the oiled bowl & cover it until use.

Once you're ready to make the paratha, make equal balls from the dough . Dust the rolling pin with flour and roll it into thick disc just like normal chapathi .

Heat the tava & grease with oil/butter, put the rolled parathas in the hot tava and cook it on both sides until brown spots appear on both sides.

Tasty cabbage paratha is ready, serve it with curd & any pickle of your choice.

Note:
  • After make the dough, dont leave it aside for long time.It became stick because of the water in the cabbage.
  • Boondhi raitha goes well with this paratha.
  • It makes 8 medium size paratha.
  • Grate the cabbage finely, so it will be easy to roll the parathas.
